Role at the SALT Center: As a Strategic Learning Specialist, I work with students to help create their Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) by collaboratively developing goals for success, incorporating academic strategies, and providing students with guidance and encouragement throughout their university experience.
Education: The University of Montana- Missoula, B.A., Psychology with a Minor in Sociology; Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling, M.Ed., School Counseling
Hometown: Portland, Oregon
Professional Associations: Arizona School Counseling Association (AzSCA), Oregon School Counselors Association (OSCA), American School Counselors Association (AZCA)
Activities/Interests: I enjoy practicing yoga, hiking in the sunshine with friends to new places, and filling my free time after work with spin classes. I am passionate about self-care, stand up comedy and the Pacific Northwest. I am happiest when attending a Blazers basketball game with my parents in downtown Portland. I find so much joy working with students because even if you can't see the “seed” that you plant within a student as you support them, it is reassuring to know that one day they will remember you and the effort that you made in their honor. I couldn't do this every day if I thought I wasn't making a change. Go Cats!
