SALTCastsOur Facility
The SALT Center is housed in a 16,000 square foot facility uniquely designed to meet the needs of our program and its students. All SALT services are housed under one roof, allowing students to access Learning Specialists, tutors and computing technology in one location - a location that is central to the campus and within easy access of many campus living environments.
Students meet with Learning Specialists in confidential environments that allow both the student and staff to focus on the goals of the session without environmental distraction.
Our tutoring center provides a variety of learning opportunities. Private tutoring rooms provide a completely distraction free environment.
Semi-private work areas are ideal for the student who works effectively in this less confining, less isolated environment. You can even plug in your laptop and work with your tutor on the latest class project.
Group tutoring rooms are available for small group tutoring or pre-exam course review sessions.
SALT's Computer Resource Lab is designed for students to work either independently or with tutoring assistance. The semi-private nature of the work areas minimizes visual distraction and helps students feel comfortable with the use of technology.
Private rooms in the computer lab allow students to use our voice-activated technology in an appropriate environment.
SALT's classroom is an ideal place for workshops and seminars conducted by SALT staff to improve student success.
