Hi! I am Liz McLain, Assistant to the Director of the SALT Center. I am responsible for the administrative functions of the Director's office, event planning, staff development, and alumni relations.
I come to Tucson from Vermont where I worked for Shelburne Museum, one of the largest outdoor history museums in the Northeastern U.S. Prior to that, I worked for Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Quebec and in the legal field in Richmond, Virginia. I am a native Kansan and graduated from Kansas State in 1997 with a degree in Criminal Justice. Working at the University of Arizona gives me the opportunity to be a part of another Wildcat community! I am currently working on a Master's degree in Non-Profit Management through an online program at Capella University in Minnesota.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, but I also love hockey (Canadian husband!) and NCAA basketball. I enjoy reading, politics, crime shows, and music (especially 80's).
I am excited to be a part of SALT and look forward to seeing you soon!
