SALT Graduate Testimonials
My most lasting memory of SALT will be:
- "Visiting the University of Arizona as a Senior in high school and meeting with my SALT Learning Specialist in Old Main."
- "My relationship with my Learning Specialist and the connections with my tutors."
- "Meeting my Learning Specialist for the first time and feeling a great sense of comfort knowing she would always be there. I had chosen to go to school so far from home! I always knew [my Learning Specialist] was there for me!"
- "To be able to interact with everyone and gain the help that put me through college."
- "All the help that I received with all my endeavors, and lots and lots of tutoring hours."
- "The staff is by far the best on campus."
- "Walking in to SALT & seeing everyone's smiling faces and hearing a warm 'Hello.'"
- "The great people I have connected with who made me smile. The ones that make me feel good inside and want me to do better in life."
- "Talking to Jr. High kids about going to college and about SALT."
- "Probably it would be my first day at SALT orientation - not knowing anyone and feeling like I was in way over my head."
- "How so many people can touch your life in different ways. It was a home away from home."
- "That everyone has cared, looked after and worried about me. Also, that I have met some of the best people ever."
- "The help and support I received during my stay."
- "The feelings of home that one gets. I say that in the sense that the wonderful people there are like your parents away from home. They are someone who you can talk to, someone you can confide in. They will chastise you when you've done bad and be the first to congratulate you when you succeed."
- "Being able to have a place on campus that I can come and hang out during my breaks between classes. I enjoyed meeting the people and making new friends."
- "Freshman SALT orientation."
I leave the University of Arizona and SALT with:
- "A degree and a JOB!"
- "A whole new attitude. When I came into SALT I was a shy, scared person now I leave as a bird with new wings."
- "The ability & knowledge that if I put my mind to it, I can do anything I want."

- "A very broad education that has prepared me for the 'real world' & memories I will never forget."
- "Friendship, memories, and an appreciation for sunshine."
- "A great education, a strong sense of accomplishment, and the skills needed to succeed in life and work."
- "A better understanding on how to apply my skills to life."
- "A DEGREE!! Memories! A JOB!"
- "A degree in MIS."
- "A better reality of how things are and the way things run. I also leave with a better knowledge of who I am. Before I came here I thought that everyone was against me, but soon enough I learned I was wrong."
